The Slocum Agency Joins the Meals on Wheels Association in Charity Drive to Benefit Food Insecure Seniors in Texas
The Slocum Agency, a Forney-based insurance company that serves eastern Dallas and the nearby region, is teaming up with national recognized non-profit Meals on Wheels in a charity effort to assists seniors in Texas struggling with food insecurity.

The Slocum Agency, a family owned insurance firm that provides coverage to businesses and families throughout eastern Texas, is announcing a joint charity drive with national charity Meals on Wheels that will benefit senior citizens who require food assistance in and around Kaufman County.
The Meals on Wheels Association is one of the most widely known charities in America, and has worked for over 40 years to fight the growing problem of senior hunger. Assisting over 5000 nutrition programs throughout coast to coast, Meals on Wheels has volunteers in nearly every community and neighborhood across the country who offer hand delivered meals and wellness checks to seniors in their cities.
“The Meals on Wheels Association has a long history of improving lives in our community, and this charity drive will ensure they are able to continue providing assistance to seniors going without food,” says Justin Slocum, founder and director of The Slocum Agency.
Joined by his professional staff, team Slocum is working to raise awareness of the issue of senior hunger and to publicize the Meals on Wheels charity drive by reaching out to local families through social media and email. The Slocum Agency has already supported more than half a dozen other charities in Texas over the last year, and the team plans to support another new charity or cause every other month as part of an ongoing community improvement campaign dubbed “Agents of Change.”
